... wondering where the time has gone!

It's a long story, but somehow it turns out that I am heading to Mozambique for two weeks this Friday (um, yes, like the day after next!) via two days in Amsterdam, to boot. How did this happen? I think that really it all commenced close to a decade ago when I started learning Portuguese and discovered that it was one cool language. After my years in Brazil, I suspect that I really had little control in the matter! All that to say that this will be my first trip to Sub-Saharan Africa after fifteen years + two degrees focused on Latin America. I also just bought a brand spanking new digital SLR - so there should be stories and photos to follow either during or after the trip!
