Chile!

I am just back in São Paulo after spending a wonderful long weekend in Chile. Last Thursday was Tiradentes Day in Brazil [Tiradentes -- literally translated as the tooth-puller -- being an independence-related martyr]. Since I am slowly turning Brazilian, I took the Friday "bridge" and headed to visit some friends in Santiago de Chile. While I had originally imagined that we would hang out in and about Santiago, we hit the road on Friday afternoon went into the Andes (near the Argentinian border) as well as the coast.
