Prehistory versus the Aliens

The final stop of the Adventure [which, in fact was actually the first and unanticipated stop] was the Pedra do Ingá - or Rock of Ingá - located part way between Joao Pessoa on the coast and Campina Grande 150km in the interior. The Pedra do Ingá is a giant slab of rock measuring 24 metres by 4 metres and is covered with densely engraved images and designs. Essentially, no one in Brazil or elsewhere has any idea about the orgins of the designs. Some camps attribute them to indigenous groups from way back when [c. 3,000 - 5,000 years] while others attribute them to aliens. A third camp says that the whole thing is a hoax. Who knows, but the drawings are still kind of neat.

...how stupit i could be!!!
now it just came to my mind...
that you can be 'not-brazilian' at all ahahahahah ...some coincidences made me 'not-to-think' about any other possibility... Recife in your profile (and it's my birthplace), the name Karen is not that odd here (i even have a friend called Karen and she's from PE), those links to chapadas, foods, brazilian stuff, ...it all made up my mind to think you had to be a brazilian who was writting a blog in english... omg!
:D

...i think that a brazilian would never call this piece of stone as a slab!!! and that's why now i thought your not a brazilian ahahah
...and about it (this specific "giant slab of rock") i must say: i love it! ...and i have a book (Herança, plan. org. and texts by José Rolim Valença, 1984, edited by Dow) about brazilian art expression before european influence. this beautiful book is all about ancient brazilian artworks and when it comes to 'pedra-do-ingá' the things becomes astonishing because it has no links to any other signs or inscriptions style anywhere else here. by style i mean, technicaly, because other inscriptions over stones or cave stonewalls are mostly made with oil and pigments and those made by directly carving the stone are, in general, roughly made or at least pretty much less well done as it is on this specific rock, where the finishing work is amazing!!!
wow, what am i doing again? taking you time on my 'driftfully' crazymind ahahah ...sorry about it!
well, i think you should have this book, and if you can't find (hehehe and, of course, IF you wanna have one) i know a place where we can find it here in SP, ok? just to tell you!
...again, i'm sorry about my "invasion" here but i couldn't resist ahahaha
kisses
